Facility

Purchased in 1999, our 5000 sq. ft. building is ideally suited for a full service repair and restoration business. It was designed and built by a local used car business as its repair and get-ready facility.

The building is separated into five distinct rooms. The front room has the office and a pleasant waiting room for customers waiting on those “quick” jobs. Next is our general repair and service shop where all of the everyday repairs are performed. The next room has the new parts department and engine building area. This is also where restoration projects are dismantled and reassembled after the body repairs. The rear room is the body shop where two full time experts do the sheet metal repairs and fabrications, as well as the body and paint preparation. Lastly, there is a paint booth/room large enough to hold the entire car in its dismantled form, with all the body panels removed for painting inside and out at the same time.

The parking and storage lot is approximately 10,000 sq. feet, and is fenced in and secure. There is plenty of lighting, and the neighborhood is mainly residential. This helps to keep visibility to the outside world at a minimum for safety.

A flurry of activity during a tech session with the Florida Suncoast MG Car Club.

Glenn is caught supervising during an apparent “Red MGB” day.

The parts department and long-term restoration area. It looks like cacophony, but we have yet to install any MGA parts on a TC!!

Another day, another view. Our record so far for the largest number of “T” series car being restored or serviced at once is 13. This included TC’s, TD’s TF’s and one TA!

A freshly sprayed Bug Eye Sprite in the paint booth.

The body shop with an MGA full restoration, an MGB getting rocker panels, and an MGTD getting some body panels freshened up.
